It's funny how people can make money off of writing blogs. And I can't even keep up with mine for free. It seems I've been writing for everyone except myself nowadays. My boss. My other boss. My hellish teachers who can't grade a simple quiz let alone my papers.Pretty sad.
Very much.
Lily Allen is the best.
I'll tell you a secret, let's make this perfectly clear, there's no secrets this year.

So apparently yesterday was San Jose's official Alzheimers Day. So yay for that!
I wish I had my own day of the year. It would be called B-day. Actually no, don't want it to be confused with Beyonce's retarded album..
Ok how about something like Everyone Sucks Day?
Or how about...I Hate 1028399820932032730000 degree Weather Day?
ORRRRR...EVEN better: Drink Your Haterade With a Smile Day? Yess, that last one's the best!
Some things to note about the beginning of my week:
1. Guys with beer guts really shouldn't try and sport trendy mohawks.
2. Camel toe is not cool.
3. If you're wearing a dress you really shouldn't be wearing a plastic visor as well.
4. If you're of the Caucasian decent, live in the trailer park on Monterey Rd. and are tired of people calling you Trailer Trash, then maybe you shouldn't let your children walk around barefoot.
I can't get Don't Be Tardy For the Party out of my head....
I found this old house, and I think it's beautiful ♥
Sorry I've been so m.i.a. It's been CRAZY since I moved! I've changed jobs twice, started school, started and ended a new relationship and have just been busy busy busy... Today is actually my day off and instead of sipping a slurpy somewhere cool I'm stuck in Polysci class :-/
I will kick off this new post by talking about the recent VMAs. It was a gas! Between Lady Ga Ga looking as freaky as the Hamburgler on crack and Kanye having another momentary lapse in judgment, I thoroughly enjoyed the hijinx and shenanigans. I think my favorite Lady Ga Ga outfit was the one where she looked like a giant used tampon..
[center photo in image below]
And even though I'm not a big fan of her, I was so offended when Kanye jumped on stage and interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech. I mean, no one saw me jumping on stage when 3OH!3 didn't win [when they should have] or objecting to Madonna's highly contrived and depressing Michael Jackson tribute speech. Who wants to see Madonna poorly read from her teleprompter (Megan Fox did a GREAT job reading from hers btw], and sadly reminiscence over a disturbing anecdote about her and Michael fondling each other on her couch? NOT ME, that's who.
Speaking of Michael Jackson..
Did anyone see this Indian Michael impersonator that was featured on Oprah?
Just amazing! I will one day go to India! Not only is the food De-LISH but education is so much cheaper :)
The move is over!
And it only took me 3 weeks to get wireless installed!
YES!
Brittany FTW!
Ha..
But no, I'm so excited to be back on the interweb. Talk about DEPRIVED. I know in my last post I promised pictures of my new place for the 6 of you. And pictures I shall give you! Just as soon as I get back from the theatre tomorrow, pick up a couple things at Urban for the weekend and dye my hair.
Then I promise you will get pictures.
:)
Just how much I love summer. Summer nights that is. I could do without the stifling hot summer days. But the nights are just lovely. And this summer I'll get to spend them at my new place.
There will be pictures soon I promise :)
I'll take some tomorrow.
And post them so the 6 people probably who read my blog can see my empty house that has no furniture and no paint.
Well my bathroom now has paint.
I love painting.
It's so tiring and it makes me sweat..but I love the fumes and I love making something that was once dull so pretty.
ANYWAY.
Moving on-
I'm just now getting the chance to listen to the Silversun Pickups new album and it's pretty good. Sorta takes me back to junior year of high school. Right where I was loving life and all things angst.
But yeh it makes me want to dance. And it's pretty hard to find alternative/indie like that nowadays.
And the Yeah Yeah Yeah's?
Their new album owns. OWNS.
My favorite song dear champs-
Whenever I hear Runaway I think of this song in the middle of a really good action flick where everything slows down and the star (preferably a girl) uses her exceptional skill and wit to beat someone's be-hind.
Well just in my mind of course.
But it still leaves me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
goodnight.
-cheers
Cheesy Pringles are so so good. But they somehow taste even better whilst listening to my beloved Robots in Disguise...
The Tears is just amazing-
Sue Denim and Dee Plum are ace :)
Now I could really use a Tall, Caramel Frapp..
ooh..the tears the tears

Why do I keep catching my father watching Sex and the City?
My latest gem! I love this site, it's amazing! It's so fantastical and crazy and lovely, it's definitely going to be a part of my Heartbeats now...
check itout fools
So I haven't posted in forever. And trust me it hasn't been my aim to neglect my loyal readers [if I have any at all]. I've just been so busy, what with having to deal with imbeciles around every corner, I barely have time for myself anymore. Well one thing that always relaxes me is something cute and furry. Please enjoy ;)
[ps-I want one SO bad!]
Everyone here at the theatre is getting ready for opening night this Friday. Yes, the Kite Runner will soon be up and running! I guess I'm sort of excited too. But just not as much as everyone else, seeing as how I'll be stuck at the Press Table for about an hour before the show then will be running around taking care of "intern duties" while everyone else gets to sip on wine and chat about the play.
But my time at the theatre is dwindling down. And for that I'm almost estatic! Don't get me wrong, I love working at the theatre and I have the most awesome co-workers (plus I get to meet all the amazing actors), buy it's not easy working and not getting paid. Sure I get college credit and progressed about a mile towards graduation, but hey, a girl needs money ya know?
This week shall be intensely busy. I'll have to finish the press packets, distribute Kite Runner flyers at some local colleges, write photo captions for the press, start the blog for the next play and contact the cast for the next play as well.
>.<
At least my weekend was semi-relaxing. I didn't have to deal with too much faggotry (once again, this term means "bs").
Have a happy day everyone :)
One reason why I'll probably never visit Helsinki...Mail Online has the story :-/
So I know I haven't posted all weekend. The truth is...I haven't felt much like posting anything. I've felt so "blah" lately.
But youtube sent me a video to watch and it made me laugh :)
Last night I had the most horrific nightmare. It was like some weird SCIFI Channel movie. I dreamt that I worked for The San Jose Event Center (SJSU's?) and our building was being ravaged by an angry tiger we had been holding for an upcoming show. The tiger wasn't just eating my co-workers, but it was intelligently going to every floor and just killing people for kicks. Not only that, but somehow we had lost the cub that came with it (which is probably why it was so angry).
Throughout the whole dream I was basically running for my life and trying to stay at least one floor above the tiger so that I wouldn't get killed.
Somehow, when I finally reached the top of the building (which seemed to have a million floors), I sat down at my desk and was about to say to my co-worker Vivian, "Viv, if you see a small.." and right before I was about to say "cat", Vivian cuts me off and says "Look I've found just the cutest little kitten running around downstairs." Right when I was about to fly into a rage over her stupidity I woke up.
Even in my dreams I can't get away from stupid people :(
All I have to say is that God is probably horrified and all these people should be stoned.
Ok so you don't have to be about 15% Irish like me to love this. The Celtic Women are so amazing. Their voices are so crystal clear and they play all their instruments effortlessly. Hopefully one day I can get tickets to one of their shows. I missed them when they came last year :(
Anyway, my most favorite rendition of Enya's Sail Away (Orinoco Flow)
and..
this girl is badass on the violin..or fiddle?
But she is by far my favorite violinist, I think her name is Mairead Nesbitt [pronounced Mer-raid I think]...simply stunning. I must get that good on the violin!
My sister and I have turned in all our paperwork to see if we're eligible for a loan to buy our first house. I'm SO excited! I seriously can't wait to finally have my own bathroom, to have a bigger room, and get a kitten! I'll be so happy I'll probably never leave my house :)
This past weekend I went to see Rony Alwin's photo gallery in SF. It was so cool. He had all his photos of celebs and comedians lined up against one wall, and there was a running bar on the other wall [my fave wall. haha jk ;)] He really does have some interesting photos though. Almost all of them were portraits of people in their different habitats. I think the main way that he gets his photos is by setting up photo booths around LA and people just walk right up and get shot! How innovative! I would have put some up here but I'm not allowed to save and post any of his pictures :-/
Anyway, the after-party consisted of wonderful 80s beats from DJ Skeet Skeet, cupcakes and alcohol. It was awesome!
One day I hope to have my own photo gallery.
*sigh* One day....
Megan Fox brakes her engagement to 90210 star Brian Austin Green, reports Us Weekly.

I've never been much of an All-American Rejects fan, but seriously this song is damn catchy...I loves it!
I don't know how many of you are familiar with British actress Wendy Richards, but she died yesterday from breast cancer at the age of 65. Wendy played in tons of British hits such as Are You Being Served and most recently The East Enders.
Wendy with East Enders castmate
Mail Online has the full story.
I remember many weekends when my sister and I used to spend hours in front of the TV watching episode after episode of Are You Being Served? Seriously one of the best sitcoms around. Wendy will definely be missed.
:(
Here's an episode of Wendy in Are You Being Served, one of the most hilarious shows around... She's Miss Braums in the red coat.
part 1
part 2
part 3
enjoy :)
MAC and Hello Kitty are teaming up this season with a luscious new makeup line. There will be two different collections. I guess one is for the more mature HC lover and one for the younger HC lover. This all strikes me as quite odd though. Why would Hello Kitty need a make up line? Sure, it's the cool thing for emo and scene girls to don themselves in Hello Kitty jewelry and put HC heads all over their myspaces..but really...do we really need a HC and MAC marriage? That's a little too much even for my taste [and I've been a Hello Kitty fan for ages].
Not to mention this ridiculous promotional ad.
Hello Kitty and MAC should be ashamed of themselves.
And why does the "naughty" HC dominatrix have to be black?
Not cool at all.
Frasier talks in a British accent?
I just noticed it while I was dozing through an episode and suddenly it hit me "Is Frasier supposed to be British?" One could argue that he just pronounces everything in a very direct and exaggerated way. But no. That's not it. He's trying to be British. Frankly I don't blame him, Europeans are some some pretty snazzy people and they are so much better than Americans in every instance.
But maybe he's not trying to be British and he just is British? I've never really watched Frasier all the way through-hence the above stated "dozing." I'm much more of a Seinfield person, which usually comes on either right before or right after Frasier. But if anyone knows could you please tell me if Frasier is British or if he's just a creepy American guy biting off of the British accent?
thank you :)
Hugh Jackman gives Barbara another lap dance. Now, I love them both, but how freaky weird is this? But my my, Hugh does look wonderful..
So today as an intern, I got to watch the first read-through of the Kite Runner script. Basically the whole cast sat around a giant round table and read straight from the script. And it was amazing. They weren't in costume and they weren't even acting. Just sitting. And the actor who plays Assef (Yazbeck), ate practically a whole bowl of fruit in the process. But it was so amazing. Just so much creative juice flowing. Here was a group of intelligent individuals making an art and sharing an experience. There was no faggotry [I made up this term, it means "bs"]. There was no one raising their hand and asking the director stupid questions. The photographer didn't ask the stage manager if it was his job to take pictures. There was no orangy-overly tanned person arguing with the costume manager and saying in her squeaky voice "Welllll, I really think we should wear this instead.." And there was no confusion. This was the first read-through, yet everyone knew where they were supposed to be. It was almost effortless. I could see why this group of individuals had gotten their jobs. Because they are damn good at them.
Please do check out The Kite Runner

Such an awesome band. Def one to watch within the next couple years. This is called The Rainy Day Song by Alaska and Me. Enjoy :)
...as to have a weave that would stop a bullet for us >.<
Khystyne
This is one of my favorites. They say ["they" being photo experts] that cloudy or overcast weather is the best weather to take pictures. And it is! It rained practically the WHOLE weekend. So me and Khrys ran outside for the 15 minutes that it stopped raining and shot this. Bless her heart for laying down in wet mossy grass stuff in 50 degree weather ♥
So now I can't finish my photo project :(
I didn't know cats ate corn!
[and I must say, this cat is gorg!]
NFL player DeMarcus Ware and his wife Taniqua's adoption
2 comments Posted by Heartbeats at 12:33 PMRecently, Dallas Cowboys Linebacker DeMarcus Ware and his wife Taniqua adopted a beautiful baby.
They named her Marley.
Only one problem. Several persons of the black community have a problem with the fact that Marley isn't black.
I don't mean to be mean. But I think it's pretty jacked up that we're in the year 2009 and people are still so racist and closed-minded. What does it matter that the baby is white? DeMarcus and his wife actually tried to have their own child three times, yet failed. When they found out Marley needed parents they jumped at the chance to having their own child.
My questions are: Why is it ok for white people to adopt black children but not vice versa? Why is the black community so upset because two black people have a white child?
Black people have had to deal with so much discrimination and racism through the years, yet they're being blatently racist towards this beautiful little girl. As long as there's one less motherless child in the world then people should be happy.
I tip my hat off to the Wares for loving Marley and dealing with the onslaught of stupidity that has come their way.
Myself? I plan on adopting a little Korean baby :)
(Maybe a white one too, just to piss people off)
Ladies and gentle dudes I bring you news of Grizzly Bear working on their next album!! Yellow House was pretty epic in itself. The kind of album that makes you more romantic when you're already happy yet keeps you from jumping off the bridge when you're depressed. For those of you who have never heard of Grizzly Bear, think of if The Shins had a baby with Rogue Wave..

Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people look bright before they speak.
HAH!
So true!
*cough* This reminds me of 85% of the Access staff >.<
Is it just me or is there something horribly wrong with this girl's ear??
And this creepy guy in Photo 112 keeps giving me "the eye" and creeping up on me and stuff.
Things are still not in order on this little site. My drop down links menu isn't done and I have no banners :(
Oh well..
Just been too busy.
Thats what happens when you take 18 units..
Well at least I had a stellar weekend. Cocktail parties always put me in a good mood.. Gotta love that Skyy ;)
Garbage is epic. One of the most underrated bands. Ever.
My boss wants us to wear Mickey Mouse ears to work this friday.
Something that looks like this:
Oh hell no.
So NOT going to happen.
I recently went to a little girls piano recital. It was so inspiring! How can this little 9 year old be so good at the piano?
*Things to do before I die: learn how to play the violin!!*

I saw The Limousines tonight. They played a free show at this little record store. They were just amazing. Bro Montana opened for them and they too blew me away.
We are very busy people, but we've always got time for new friends.
