Opening Night

Everyone here at the theatre is getting ready for opening night this Friday. Yes, the Kite Runner will soon be up and running! I guess I'm sort of excited too. But just not as much as everyone else, seeing as how I'll be stuck at the Press Table for about an hour before the show then will be running around taking care of "intern duties" while everyone else gets to sip on wine and chat about the play.

But my time at the theatre is dwindling down. And for that I'm almost estatic! Don't get me wrong, I love working at the theatre and I have the most awesome co-workers (plus I get to meet all the amazing actors), buy it's not easy working and not getting paid. Sure I get college credit and progressed about a mile towards graduation, but hey, a girl needs money ya know?

This week shall be intensely busy. I'll have to finish the press packets, distribute Kite Runner flyers at some local colleges, write photo captions for the press, start the blog for the next play and contact the cast for the next play as well.

>.<

At least my weekend was semi-relaxing. I didn't have to deal with too much faggotry (once again, this term means "bs").

Have a happy day everyone :)

One reason why I'll probably never visit Helsinki...Mail Online has the story :-/

Le Drunky

So I know I haven't posted all weekend. The truth is...I haven't felt much like posting anything. I've felt so "blah" lately.

But youtube sent me a video to watch and it made me laugh :)

eh.

Last night I had the most horrific nightmare. It was like some weird SCIFI Channel movie. I dreamt that I worked for The San Jose Event Center (SJSU's?) and our building was being ravaged by an angry tiger we had been holding for an upcoming show. The tiger wasn't just eating my co-workers, but it was intelligently going to every floor and just killing people for kicks. Not only that, but somehow we had lost the cub that came with it (which is probably why it was so angry).

Throughout the whole dream I was basically running for my life and trying to stay at least one floor above the tiger so that I wouldn't get killed.

Somehow, when I finally reached the top of the building (which seemed to have a million floors), I sat down at my desk and was about to say to my co-worker Vivian, "Viv, if you see a small.." and right before I was about to say "cat", Vivian cuts me off and says "Look I've found just the cutest little kitten running around downstairs." Right when I was about to fly into a rage over her stupidity I woke up.

Even in my dreams I can't get away from stupid people :(

All I have to say is that God is probably horrified and all these people should be stoned.

My latest...

I love taking portraits.

Ok so you don't have to be about 15% Irish like me to love this. The Celtic Women are so amazing. Their voices are so crystal clear and they play all their instruments effortlessly. Hopefully one day I can get tickets to one of their shows. I missed them when they came last year :(

Anyway, my most favorite rendition of Enya's Sail Away (Orinoco Flow)

and..
this girl is badass on the violin..or fiddle?
But she is by far my favorite violinist, I think her name is Mairead Nesbitt [pronounced Mer-raid I think]...simply stunning. I must get that good on the violin!

Loans

My sister and I have turned in all our paperwork to see if we're eligible for a loan to buy our first house. I'm SO excited! I seriously can't wait to finally have my own bathroom, to have a bigger room, and get a kitten! I'll be so happy I'll probably never leave my house :)

I'm exhausted.

This past weekend I went to see Rony Alwin's photo gallery in SF. It was so cool. He had all his photos of celebs and comedians lined up against one wall, and there was a running bar on the other wall [my fave wall. haha jk ;)] He really does have some interesting photos though. Almost all of them were portraits of people in their different habitats. I think the main way that he gets his photos is by setting up photo booths around LA and people just walk right up and get shot! How innovative! I would have put some up here but I'm not allowed to save and post any of his pictures :-/

Anyway, the after-party consisted of wonderful 80s beats from DJ Skeet Skeet, cupcakes and alcohol. It was awesome!

One day I hope to have my own photo gallery.

*sigh* One day....

Maybe she realized she couldn't settle down and stop being a whore.

I've never been much of an All-American Rejects fan, but seriously this song is damn catchy...I loves it!
